Pasadena, MD - December 6, 2013/ Elizabeth Sheffield, a senior at Annapolis Area Christian School, is presenting her work for your enjoyment at an art show to be held December 3 – December 27 with a reception to take place on December 16, 2013 at 7-8:30 pm at the Mountain Road Library at 4730 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD.
Elizabeth’s seven year love for drawing has grown into this
art show collection of 40 + works of art which include drawings in charcoal,
colored and lead pencil. She is also
displaying scratch board art and works in acrylic and oil paint.
At the age of sixteen, Elizabeth won ‘Best in 2-D’ in the South
Eastern Art Show and Market Youth Competition for her painting ‘Turn It Up’. Her painting was then purchased by a private
buyer and a print of ‘Turn It Up’ now hangs in the Chickasaw Nation Medical
Center in Ada, Oklahoma.
Elizabeth won first place in the 2013 Butterfly Art Contest for
the Chickasaw Nation. Her butterfly was
featured on the promotional materials for the 2013 Dynamic Women of the
Chickasaw Nation Conference and Forum in Ada, Oklahoma. Elizabeth says, “I use art as a means of
communication and love to express myself this way. Art is a way I
connect with people.” She hopes to
become an animator or story boarder after college.
If you would like to see Elizabeth’s art, the reception on
December 16, 2013 from 7-8:30 pm at the Mountain Road Library in Pasadena will
be the perfect time to do so. There will
be refreshments graciously donated by Angels Food Market in Pasadena.
